We've designed our resource features with flexibility and ease of use in mind. If you're new to the concept of resources, please start with the introductory section.
Here’s a quick guide to each feature:
- Name: This is how your resource will be displayed both in your system and on your booking page.
- Brief Description: In 40 characters, describe your resource. This helps to differentiate between resources and appears below the resource’s name on your booking page.
- Extended Description: For detailed information about your resource, use the extended description. It's shown in a 'Show details' section on your booking page.
- Resource Image: Enhance your resource's appeal with an image. For best results, use a 150x150 pixel square image, keeping the file size under 0.5MB for optimal loading speed. You can tinify files which are larger with services such as https://tinypng.com.
- Location: After booking, clients receive the location, either as a physical address or a URL for online events. This isn't displayed on the booking page itself.
- Group: Organize similar resources into groups for easier browsing, especially useful when managing many resources.
- Schedule: Define availability times for each day of the week, ranging from a few hours to full-day availability. Check out our section for specific use-cases to learn about the best settings for various use-cases.
- Timezone: It sets automatically. Only change it if your resource operates in a different timezone.
- Booking Options: This section allows you to add and manage the different ways clients can book your resource. If you're not yet familiar with booking options, please refer to the relevant section first.
- Total Availability and Max Booking Per Customer: Useful for managing multiple identical resources or resources booked by many clients at once (like a course or event). 'Total Availability' sets how many times a resource is available for booking, while 'Max Booking' limits how often a single customer can book it. If you choose to 'Show Availability to Customers,' they'll see how many slots are still available on your booking page.
Off-Days:
These are the days when your resource isn’t available, overriding your regular schedule. Use this for public holidays, personal time off, or days when the resource is undergoing maintenance. It's a handy tool to ensure your schedule reflects real-world availability.
